Lepak Santai sekejap di Harrods Cafe KLCC

 Recently Fid, Ej and I singgah KLCC for lunch. Tapi terkejar kejar masa sebab Fid ada kerja. Lagi pun bukan nak makan sangat sebab masa tu memasing kekenyangan breakfast nasi lemak sambal ikan kat Wisma Cosway.

 Aku nampak menu dan harga ni kat depan Harrods shop tingkat 1. Mampu nak masuk order ni?

 Kat ground floor KLCC opposite Fendi kat sebelah Isetan ada buka Harrods cafe. We went there.

 Takde la banyak sangat choices dalam menu, tapi boleh la kalau nak makan sekali sekala. Tukar selera.

 Oleh kerana sekarang musim cuaca panas, aku order teh ais. RM17 segelas.

 Beef Sandwich. Fid tak berapa berkenan sangat sebab dry katanya. Silap aku la...mintak dressing sikit aje.

 Aku orderedkan EJ Chicken grilled ni. Sedap. RM28. Makan secara terkejar kejar...tak sempat nak order dessert pun. Next time nanti pi for tea boleh order dessert.

 Yang ni bukan from Harrods ye...ni olio aku sendiri yang masak. Sekali sekala tak nak makan nasi ubah selera makan olio speggetti...boleh la...nak kata sedap sangat...tak sure pulak...tapi 2 pinggan jugak la makan.

Aku kalau buat olio ni...tak leh buat banyak banyak sebab Ej and Fid tak suka sangat. They preferred bolognese.Oklah...posting ringkas aje. Boleh la kan...asal ada bahan bacaan di kala boring.

Breakfast at Seatoun, Wellington

gambar2 dah terperap lama kat lappy ...takde masa nak buat ..selalu aku buat posting weekend ajer kan ....so banyak le yang tertunggak ....

a couple of weeks ago, as usual aku, kak shidah and anita but plan mengejut ...plan asal nak jalan2 dalam misi mencari the best lemon meringue pie in town ...ntah somehow, plan tak menjadi ..for once, aku bangun lambat hahaha and tak confirm jump kol berapa semua tu lol ..so aku bangun2 tengok message kak shidah and anita ..kata they are meeting up kat Burger Fuel ...akak dandan bangun mandi ok ...hehehe by the time siap tu sms them tanya dorang kat mana ..they said they are in the car already, otw nak gi tempat aku ..so i plan to meet up kat dairy di Salamanca Road ajer ...tapi ada emergency kat rumah aku ...minah tu pi hangitkan something kat dapur (AGAIN!!!) and aku kena gi tukar baju ...ended up Kak Shidah and Anita drove up to my flat instead ...

masa dalam kereta baru tau ..a change of plan ..we were going to have brunch kat Seatoun ..kata nya ada this really nice cafe with yummy (to die for) slices ...akak kan tak pernah gi Seatoun, so layannnnn ...but, dah takde rezeki kan ...the cafe was closed (we found out later it is closed for renovation) ..but kat depan cafe tu ada this nice Italian trattoria ...so, we went in and try ajer lah ...nothing to loose kan???

mine - a kiwi omelette kata nya ...basically eggs with salmons ...so yumm!!! i love the bread (home made) and the omelette ...to die for hehehehe ...

All three of us were so happy with our meals ....just what we need for brunch :-) and the latte pun ok ..the service is also very nice ...it is a cozy place lah ..cuma satu lah, the three of us lepak sana sembag2 lama sangat ....and we were noisy ...ada makcik sebelah meja dok pandang2 kami ...but we apologised lah kata kami bising masa nak bayar tu ..dia kata takpe...dia suka sebenarnya tengok ppl enjoying themselves kata nya ...tak tau jujur ke idak ..tapi biarlah bersangka baik :-)

puas ati lah makan kat situ ..cuma satu jer masalah, tempat ie kat Seatoun ...aku dok kat city centre ..so jauh weiiiiiii ....

anyway, masa nak gi balik ke kereta, Kak Shidah melencong jap ..sebab nak introduce aku kat this really nice (but bloody expensive) little place ...owner nyer very nice and friendly ..sebab yang masuk sini semua jenis tengok2 ajer ..bukan beli pun ...sebab tak mampu lol ia ya jual macam2 benda lah ...very nice place, but wayyy out of my league ...hanya jual mata ajer kat situ

after look see look see, kami balik ....and bukan nya balik city pun ..sempat jalan2 kat pantai dulu hahaha sebab tempat nie memang sebelah bay kan ....even masa drive tu, ada satu part tu memag as if you will be driving straight masuk ke lautan ....

from here baru we all jalan2 kat pantai ....nanti aku buat separate entry (entry bergambar) for pantai tu ...and after pantai we went to Lyall Bay ...sebab nak gi Rebel Sport ..aku nak beli backpack masa tu ...and the day before tu tgk kat tv kata Rebel Sport sales hehehe ...so, our trip tu memang multi purpose lah :-) makan, jalan2 and shopping ....biler balik town pun sambung makan lagi and lepak rumah Anita before gi tengok concert yang memaparkan Maori musical instruments, and sambung dinner out ...a full day ...of fun and adventure!

Bercuti ke Gambang dan Cherating - Holiday Villa

Sempena cuti sekolah, fenfid, zamreen dan nuarlin sibuk planning for a short trip. Macam macam usul dan survey yang dilakukan...akhirnya kami memilih untuk bercuti ke Gambang dan Cherating. Kalau ikutkan nak duduk kat Cherating aje 2 malam tapi takde hotel yang available for 2 days. Semua fully booked sebab cuti sekolahkan. On Friday sempena cuti wesak, Zamreen balik kampung ke Jengka. Nuarlin balik ke Kampung kuin. On Saturday kami bertolak dari destinasi memasing dan bertemu di Gambang.

Apartment ysang kami duduk tu namanya Carebean Bay. Kalau yang baru tu namanya Arabian Bay. Poolnya not bad tapi ramai sangat orang.

Malam pulak the kids had fun kat mini fun fair. Beli tag RM20 sorang main la sampai muntah. Semua rides pusing pusing boleh pening di buatnya. Diorang main sampai tengah malam.

Ada Safari Night kalau sesapa yang berminat nak tengok binatang tapi belum siap sepenuhnya.

Zahra had a good time naik rides sampai dia tertidur kat carousel tu. Lepas dia tidur kami naik ke apartment tapi the EJ and frens continue main lagi.

The next day lepas checked out singgah kat SGG jumpa LizDuan.

Semua kekenyangan kononnya tapi lepas rasa burger sedap order sorang satu.

Kenyang makan nasi lemak tapi sebab burger sedap...layannnn.

Teringat ingat kesedapan burger ni dan air teh yang marvellous tu. Ita dengan Ejin biler nak merasa burger bakar sedap ni?

Tu dia...bersemangat.

Drinks macam macam ada...jangan lupa try segala yang berkenan di hati. Lepak almost 3 hours kat cafe Slake & Bite ni...pastu kami bergerak ke Cherating. Masa kat SGG ni aku dah call Holiday Villa inform kami check in lewat sikit.

Sempat berendam dalam air laut kejap. Zahra suka bangat dapat lepak dalam air laut.

Sambung berendam dalam pool pulak. Pool kat sini jauh lagi best banding dengan Gambang Resort. Bersih and puas mandi manda.

Fenfid dapat room betul betul tepi kolam ni.

Selepas checked out, Nuarlin dan Zamreen berphoto session. Testing toy baru Nuarlin. Gambar untuk posting ni semua cilok dari toy Nuarlin.Rasa tak puas pulak bercuti 2 hari aje. Penat sangat rasanya. Kalau boleh rasa macam nak bercuti 4 hari ke...seminggu ke...baru puas kot. Yang penting everyone had a great time.

Slake at Megamall Kuantan

Hi guys...mesti nak share ni... we had soft launching of

at Megamall last saturday (June 1st). The kiosk is still work in progress but we just cant wait..rental starts on June 1st ..jadi nak tak nak kena lah jugak huuuu...Quite mad with the contractor...we have the drawing...concept design and all that tapi the pictures that we want to stick on the counter and so on...is totally different...entah rabun ke hapa...sabar jelah...

The fixing of the kiosk was quite fast only takes 2 nites...but it is incomplete because the pictures, signage are not ready...

Despite of all that cabaran...we are happy to have another footprint  in Kuantan. Unlike the one in ECM which we call

 -- because we serve food....here in Megamall is only Slake for the drinks...

Here is the team...we are re-designing the company uniform..We had plain white and green before tapi now .thinking of something fresh and zest! ala ala lemon ha..ha..ha..

 So watch this space for update.

..serving all sort of THIRST SLAKERS!

Yoga Wednesday

semua sedia maklum, aku ngan exercise memang bukan kawan baik ...gym bukan lah tempat fav aku hahaha ...i think my last yoga session was about a year and a half ago ...masa ku di Kuching, and once aku sibuk, aku terus tak pergi ...it is kind of something yang I feel I can skip in order to focus more on my datelines etc ...

somehow three weeks go, Nabil etc tetiba terjah our flat after they finish a session kat REC Centre kat uni ...actually REC Centre nie ngadap bilik aku ..and memang sepelaung jer lah from my doorstep ...hari2 aku lalu sebelah REC Centre ..coz it is located di antara my flat and my opis ...tapi tak pernah pergi hahaha ...well, masa dorang datang tu, dorang ajak le aku ngan Maryam to join them ..banyak group exercises sessions available - pilates, yoga, step, power, zumba etc etc ...aku kata yang aku nak cuma yoga ajer ...so sort of decided nak gi lah jugak ...coz dorang kata they will be at the front door on wednesday morning, press the doorbell nonstop till aku buka pintu ....and knowing them, mmg dorang akan buat tu ..so aku kata yea lah aku join them ...and ter-hook pulak lah ...

so akak start balik yoga yogi nie two weeks ago ...it was ok ...mula2 ya rabiii bercinta ..sejuk2 nak kuar rumah kan ..walaupun less than 5 mins from my front door to the REC CEntre ...but once there, once dah start, it was kind of fun jugak lah ...on that first day, aku ngan Maryam sampai awal ..so since tak ramai org, kami sempat2 posing dulu hahahaha .....

bangun tido terus gi gym hehehe so, excuse that "rolling out of the bed" look ok

yoga session tu diadakan di dance studio ..rupanya mengadap rumah aku hahahaha ...and it has the most amazing view of the bay and the harbour ...so peaceful ...love it ..

Tu dia ..bangunan kontena yag merupakan rumah ku syurga ku untuk tahun ini ....but that view is so amazing ...last week kan cuaca "ganas" sket and there were snow in some parts ..well, i can actually see the snow capped mountains from the balcony of my office building (belakang Rec Centre nie) and also from various points di library ...such an awesome view ..sayang nya my camera is kokak and cannot capture the beautiful scenery ....

so far I have been going steadily ...i think partly sebab pergi berkumpulan ...nie Maryam sedang kat USA, so aku gi ngan Nabil and Ana jer lah ...and just now dorang singgah sini, saja nak jenguk2 aku ...bukan apa ..dorang ajak aku kuar semalam tapi kan aku kuar with Kak Shidah, so today dorang decide sebab aku tak kuar ..dorang jer lah datang jumpa aku ....pastu buat kecoh kat dapur ....sebab masing2 nak tunjuk skill ...

anyway, aku akan incorporate yoga lah dalam rutin aku ..bak kata liz...harus balance ...work, joli ..and now add another element ..yoga ...as long as it is fun, i am game ...biler dah stress and too much to handle yang akan buat aku skip selalu nya ...but dorang2 nie jenis encourage aku join dorang ..so, we'll see how it goes ...nie dengar aku nak balik 3 minggu pun kata ..alahhhhh we wont see you for 3 weeks ...k buat macam mana ...malaysia sejuk ngan kasih sayang kannnnn

Gawai di Welly

It is that time of the year yang mana the Dayaks celebrate Gawai Festival ...it is a festival to mark the end of harvesting (of rice) season ..a time to be jolly ..a time to celebrate ...hehehehe memang tiap2 tahun, it falls on 1st June ..tapi kat Sarawak selalu cuti 2 hari ....and kalau kes aku pulak ..selalu  nyer aku cuti between 7-10 days ....but not this year ..my Gawai does not feel like Gawai ..sebab feel tu takde hahaha

pokok2 dah nak togel ...coz autumn is passing by and winter is looming

kalau kat sarawak, paling lambat by 29th tu aku ngan my parents and the kids dah balik kampung ..usually my bro and SIL akan menyusul kemudian ..they always have less leave than me ...and before that dah beberapa trip balik kampung antar barang2 hahaha memang rutin tahunan tu ..this year kata my brother, dorang gi sekali ajer before that ...antar barang2 and antar tv ..tv lama kat rumah aku di hantar ke kampung coz yang kat kampung tu dah tak berapa elok ...and selalu nya aku akan join in the festivities from malam 30th lagi ...and selalu nya always ada aktiviti till 5-6 jun gitu ...how i miss those!!! semalam i was skyping ..FB-ing, chatting via Whatsapp and WeChat ...masa org2 kat kampung nak sambut detik 12 malam ....it is not the same ..coz NZ if 4 hours ahead ...and seems like Jane and Dom ganti tempat aku hahaha dom was a judge in a karoks competition semalam..selalu akak yea yang jadi judge ...and both of them join the joget sampai pagi kat sana ..selalu nyer yang join joget sampai pagi was me ..hahaha ...my parents memang akan dok rumah ajer ..stay with cucu-cucu ...how i miss those moments ...

so, not to feel melancholic ...and nak gak rasa gawai, I did some baking today ..kan gawai nie, macam raya jugak, people akan always makan ...makan ...and makan ..selain beramah mesra ..jumpa sedara mara semua ...i had stop baking lama jugak ...last baking was maybe 2 months ago ...i baked banana cake then ...then sebab busy, terus tak baking lagi till today ..tu pun buat last minute ...but it was a success ...

 ingat nak tabur with icing sugar on top ..tengok2 icing sugar pun dah abes hahaha ...

pas kek masak tadi, aku cecepat gi siap....coz janji jumpa kak shidah di town ...plan nak dinner out ...konon bergawai le tu ...hehehehe so, i had a brisk walk to town dalam cuaca sejuk tu ...waited for her at Lambton Quay area ...and the we went straight to Courtney Place ..plan nak dinner kat Chow ..but it was full ..and we did not make any reservation ...daripada waiting for 1.5 hour for a table, we decided to gi tempat lain ...look see look see ..and end up at Public ...a nice place ...quite laid back ..service was ok ...suasana pu ok ...not crowded ...not noisy ...aku suka tempat nie ...akan masuk dalam senarai tempat yang aku akan gi lagi!

NZ mussels ...sauce nyer sangat yumm ...tomatoey ...and nice ..the salad ok lah ..and there were breads as well to mope up the sauce ....

and we also ordered garlic prawns ...yummy jugak ..sadly no photo hehehe the place is like nice and the patrons macam tak ambik gambar punya jenis ...and gelap plak tu ...kalau guna lash memang nampak sangat ...so i did not take photo of the prawns ...

and yang aku sempat snap is our chunky chips hehehehe ..nice, hot and filling chunky chips..sebab tak pakai flash, nampak kabur ajer ...anyway, all of these are sharing portions ...filling sebenarnya ..we ended up sembang ..and sembang ..and sembang ...lama gak lah di situ ..yang best, the staff tak halau pun kiter kuar walapun pun meja dah diclearkan  ..love it ...love the food ...and price is affordable lah ...will definitely come again ...next time nak try the salmon pulak :-)

pas abis makan2, and terserempak with a few people I know - see, I told you, Wellington is so small that you bumped into people you know all the time! - we went back ..tapi detour to Newtown, coz anak Kak Shidah was there with his friend ...then pas ambik dia, we all went back to my flat ...aku jamu kek and teh ajer ...hehehee our dessert for the night ...kira macam gawai jugak le kan ...at least I am not alone ..and i was celebrating with fellow Sarawakian, who knows what Gawai means ...

so, that's my gawai story this year ...my first gawai in Welly ...and my first wintery gawai ...as today is 1st June, it is officially winter in NZ ....nanti lah aku update on how the winter is treating me ...hehehe with its cold blast from the Antartic ...
