FLORIA 2010

Three of us went back to Banting earlier today since our last visit few months back. The town looked the same except for the Post Office which was totally burnt down. When we reached the town, most of the shops were still closed or might not open since today is Sunday. Looking at some of the regular shops that we used to shop in, was heart breaking for me. Frame of memories came flashed at the back of my mind.

We were there for a couple of hours before we headed to Putrajaya to join millions of others to witness FLORIA 2010. We planned to visit the Floria with Zamreen but we reached there too early. So we went in first and Zamreen joined us later.

The weather was damn hot and there were so many people but that didn't stop us for photo session.

The landscapes were very colourful.

I forgot the name of the flower above which was extensively used in almost all of the landscapes in the Floria.

This was taken specially for Kak Long. She always proud as a Johorian. So there you go Kak Long. Laman Johor.

Generally we found Floria 2010 was not as good as compared to Pesta Flora 2008. There were too many repetitions in terms of type of flowers used in the landscape deco. In fact, I could not find even a single Rose anywhere. Nevertheless, it was still worth it to visit Floria 2010 and don't forget to bring your DSLR. EJ snap almost 200 of photos but most were blur. No complaint because she used her sony handphone...ha ha ha. Layannn.

It's party time

Semua nie cerita last week ...kira dah hampir2 basi tapi takpe lah, better late than never kan ...hehehe ...masa birthday party Al, tugas2 tiup belon etc dapat kat my dad ...mula2 pakai pam belon ...tapi rosak plak ..padahal baru beli last year ...then jane got this idea utk pam kan pakai pam tilam angin adik aku ...hehehe ...cepat dan efficient diorang buat ...kerja aku is taking photos and ikatkan belon2 yang dah "diluluskan " oleh my dad ...as usual posing tu harus hehehehe ...lagipun aku paksa diorang posing :-)

Pastu plak, Jane and Al sibuk nak decorate dinding ngan belon, until ada belon yang meletop...Al - terus kecut perut and tak nak pegang belon dah ....dia cuma mengarah mummy buat kerja jer ...

kerja aku plak adalah to get the food ...aku kena pi ambik food from caterer ...aku order food from Samarahan sebab our usual caterer ada function lain masa tu ...malang nyer aku tak byk ambik gambar food ...cuma ada satu gambar nie ajer ...sebab by the time aku arrange the food, tetamu pun sampai ...so, aku kena naik atas utk mandi dan bersiap cecepat masa tu ....

malam tu we had mee goreng, bihun goreng, satay, kari ayam, ayam kacang-ma (dish popular kat Sarawak), lemon chicken, rendang daging, fruits ...and other tidbits ...yang kari and kacang-ma tu dimasak oleh my cousin...the rest semua catered ...senang kerja ....


by 7.30pm tetamu dah datang ...ramai gak le yang datang, from both sides of the families ...(p/s masa nie lah mak aku nak tayangkan tikar Sarawak dia hehehehe)

and acara potong kek - see, muka kura2 menghadap kamera sebab Al geli tengok muka kura2 tu menghadap kat dia ....

adik as usual ...buat poyo dia sendiri ...masa dok nyanyi2 tu, dia dah menguap ...nak tido!

pastu tak nak tangkap gambar ....siap kena paksa baru adik bergambar ...nampak sgt tak ikut macam mama dia and mummy dia yang sentiasa sedia nak berposing!

 meriah jugak leh ...and ramai sedara yang lama tak jumpa pun datang ...like my uncle Patrick and family...yang last aku jumpa was about 8 years ago ...then my nenek sedara ...yang aku mmg jarang2 jumpa pun datang ...plus, this is the first time aku ada masa party birthday Al...yang first (kat Kenny Rogers) and 2nd (kat rumah diorang di Stapak) tu aku tak pernah attend ...i am hoping that my nephew will grow up to be a fine and successful man ...mama loves you Al ....

Kek Birthday Alistair

Last Friday was Al's 3rd birthday ...tapi kami buat makan2 for family on Saturday ..senang sket org nak datang sebab weekend ...as usual aku lah party planner and ketua organiser nyer ...

We all decided nak order kek from tempat yang aku order kek Dibo adik dulu ...sebab design cantik and the taste pun mmg sedap ....then sebulat suara nak soh lukis gambar Tito ...tito is dia punya fav toy ...mmg bawak ke hulu ke hilir! So, aku nak buat square shaped cake with lukisan tito lah ...But biler sampai kedai, diorang kata kalau nak buat shape pun ok ..and beza RM6 jer from my original plan ..so, aku order le tortise shaped cake ...

cantik kan??? i love it so much hehehehehe

masalah nyer bila sampai rumah (i took it from the bakery a day before the party) tak muat plak masuk fridge sebab besar ...berleluh2 aku ngan my dad modified kan kotak kek tu ...hampir setengah jam jugak le ...potong sana potong sini, cabut compartment kat fridge etc ...baru boleh buat ...

pas ok, tampal notis kat pintu fridge "dilarang membuka pintu fridge!" ....sib baik ada second fridge yang my mum guna to store our food etc ....

and guess what! Al takut tengok kepala and mata Kura2 tu ...hampeh betul ...so, masa potong have tu biarkan muka Tito menghadap org ramai and Al potong badan tito jer ...ish ish ish ...sungguh tak sangka ...
but, overall - semua puas ati ngan kek nie - sedap & cantik ...next time akan order kek kat sini lagi ...for adik's birthday in Sept ....

Hari sukan Sekolah

Aku bangun pagi sebab nak ke Sekolah EJ...dia masuk perbarisan sempena sukan sekolah. Tapi sebab DSLR aku canggih sangat...gambar jadi comel comel. Layannn.
Aku tak tahu mana satu EJ.

Tak banyak team yang join perbarisan tu. Bagus jugak...sekejapan je selesai...he he he.

Setiap rumah mengikut warna...siap ada theme. Nampak tak robot tu? Itu la theme untuk rumah biru. Masa kawad tu...robot tu tertinggal kat belakang sebab dia jalan lambat...penonton gelak giles masa tu tgk robot try nak jalan cepat.

Dulu masa sekolah tak pernah pulak ada theme theme macam ni. Lepas habis perbarisan...sukan pun start...Sebab Ej ada tuition...kol 10.45 aku dah ambik dia untuk hantar ke Smart Readers centre.

4 happy seasons

Ok..continue cerita sebelum ni. Once movie habis Fid roger roger aku. I fetched them from wangsa walk...terus ke this one new restaurant few metres from wangsa walk tu. Nama restoran ni Four Happy Seasons.

Here they set up the restaurant with 4 sections according to the season theme. Brilliant.

Autumn...located on first floor ...open area...facing nice view of Ukays & Melawati.

Hujan...so this area takde orang duduk. Next time come here aku nak duduk kat sini. Menarik view kat belakang tu.

Bawah ni pulak Spring. Semi open area kat ground floor.

We chose Winter...EJ la yang excited sangat. Sejuk beku jadinya...sebab 15 degree Celcius. Kat sini ada coat kalau sesapa nak pinjam kalau tak tahan sejuk.

Seasons special fried rice. Sedap.

Lepas dah habis makan, Ej sibuk nak order Pancake Durian. Punya la banyak...jenuh nak habiskan. Kat sini filing pancake tu ice cream. Kalau kat Sweet Chat...filing durian and cream.

Winter section. Kami tak dapat nak duduk kat tempat cantik ni sebab full masa datang. Sementara nak tunggu dessert...orang sume balik...cepat cepat aku suruh Fid and Ej berposing.

Aku kena tepek pancake ice cream with durian ni...sebab sedap. Wajib di cuba. Masa waiter tu hantar, Fid and EJ lepak kat autumn area sebab diorang kesejukan. Cepat cepat aku roger diorang suruh masuk habis kan pancake ni...sebab aku sorang sah sah tak kan habis punya.

Ej orderd Thai Special chicken wings. Sedap bangat. Sesapa datang sini...sila la order ni...mesti tak nyesal punya. Satanem.

Lepas dah kenyang...terus balik sebab esok EJ ada sport kat Sekolah dia. Yes...diorang baru nak buat sport. Aku pun tak sure kenapa lambat. Ej masuk perbarisan represent tunas puteri.

Ok...chow...habis cerita hari ni. Esok new chapter. Layannn.

Lunch di USA dan Masa bersendirian

Tengok logo ni...aku snap kat napkin masa lunch tadi. Terus feeling feeling lunch kat USA. I have been to Milwaukee USA Yo...saje nak bakar kejelesan adik beradik 30 smthg...GGG. Eat, Ejin dengan Liz...korang pun ada jugak pi USA kan? (UiTM Shah Alam) ....larikssss.

Padahal dulu masa ke Milwaukee/Chicago, takde pulak aku makan benda yang aku makan masa lunch tadi which is Burger special. Sorry no photo...aku kan dah insaf...kalau food tu takat ala ala je...malas aku nak tepek sini. Aku tepek kat FB je. Tapi kalau food super duper sedap and something yang different yang susah nak jumpa...or really really my favourite...akan aku tepek kat sini juga. Masa tu aku buat buat lupa la nak ikut style kak long kan kan kan.

Abang Ngah tengah memikir jauh tentang masa depan...sampai tembus dinding cafe tu...Penat nak fikir...Nak ronggeng kat mana, Makan kat mana, Jalan kat mana, Bercuti kat mana, Restaurant mana sedap, Restaurant mana belum try...fuhhh...letih di buatnya.

Keadaan cafe ni kecik je...sebab yang besarnya ialah deparmental storenya.

Terletak di KLCC...cafe ni namanya Harley Davidson Cafe. Tapi kenapa napkin dia chop Milwaukee Steak Corner...aku tak pasti pulak. Aku pi berdua dengan kawan, both of us ordered set lunch je. Rm19.90. Ada main course, Mine burger (rasa so so)...kawan aku ambik grilled chicken (tak sedap katanya), Mushroom soup yang sedap, Ice lemon tea yang tak sedap dan dua potong tembikai as dessert. Biler burger tadi yang kurang memuaskan...rasa nak pi makan burger yang sedap kat Bangi pulak. Next week punya agenda la.

Ni masuk bab cerita lain lak. Ej and Fid dok sibuk nak tengok cerita despicable me (agaknya la...ke salah ejaan). Aku tak minat...pastu 3D...malas nak pakai cermin mata yang berat tu. So aku booked online untuk diorang berdua je. Biar mummy and daughter day out la. Aku hantar dan ambik je.

Bersemangat diorang berdua ni nak tengok movie.

Pastu nampak dalam FB fid posted photo dia dangan EJ...first time diorang duduk kat couple seat. Excited la si EJ tu.

Aku pulak...lepak kat umah...buat nescafe...pastu layan tv...sambil makan Pistachio & Almond cookies yang kawan aku bagi, Tortila chips dan salsa sos (kena hati hati check ingridients) yang meletops. Salsa sos ni beli kat Cold Storage. Tortila chips tu ada kat merata rata supermarket...tapi tak semua sedap...kena pick and try la.

Rileks je rasa...tak payah nak rebut chanel dengan EJ...he he he.
