Another Sunday's Lunch- part entah berape

Last week we had talapia goreng...kedeboom....korang makan tak? we went to pasar tani and as usual , we ended up with all sort of ikan sungai...talapia, keli, we skipped patin for this round because we had lunch at Akop Patin the day before..and as we were early so, managed to catch 2 ayam kampung...

Ayam kampung soup....I think everybody knows how to cook chicken soup...just make sure you have celery, daun soup , daun bawang ...because without them , it wont taste as yummy...usually i would include tomato in my soup but for this one , the chef used asam keping instead...

Petola goreng...whenever i sit for a nasi daun pisang at a mamak's, i will surely take petola goreng and this is actually my first attempt with recipe which based on own observation ......bittergout+curry powder+turmeric powder+tepung beras+salt..sambal belacan....the best sambal belacan i've ever tasted was made by my late grandfather..his is the best...i've made many times but still not getting any near.....first we need to fry the fresh chillies then pound it with ikan bilis...then perah kan limau nipis/ke limau kasturi? yg kecik tu bukan yg besar keras...limau nipis kan?...dan jadi lah dia.....

Ya Allah..ape nak jadi aku ni...Cikgu Ejin , you are right..peria bukan petola..petola yg mana eh?kah..kah..kah....and the sambal is sambal jawa tak de belacan digantikan ikan bilis...kwang..kwang..kwang....so happen Duan baru tegur, recipe aku salah tapi dia tak sure lunch yg mana..dia kata english betul, malay word salah ...peria and petola lah tu...semua nak jadi cikgu...trauma aku next time buat posting

mard, suka makan ikan sungai ya...nanti dtg kuantan kabor ok...tapi talapia tu mmg best lah...aku jarang jugak nak merasa tapi sekali rasa tak henti

brinjal tu terung ...or aubergine kata org kat kpg kiter. peria is bittergourd tu ...petola is petola hahaha aku tak tau nama englih petola ...and FYI ketiga2 tu aku tak makan!

tapi talapia aku makan - kalau goreng, steam or buat sweet sour

Liz, in my family yg makan ikan darat are my youngest bro, my bro-in-law, my mom and me.

i oso like peria, "felato" & "turung"... hehehe...

yg i don't like = rebung + jering. petai suke le

in short, i love food!

la hai brinjal , terung ...petola ..alotep.??.kong hasam dia terbalik kan petola...petola ni yg warna hijau kan lebih kurang size peria kan?..mard, rebung tak pernah masak tapi ok jugak kalau di layan
