Holiday ke South Island, New Zealand

Salam Aidilfitri untuk semua ...

Sedar tak sedar dah masuk hari ke-3 bulan Syawal ...cepat masa berlalu :-) dan blog makin bersawang ..tak tau akak nak kata dah ..orang orang KL ngan Kuantan tu tah apa yag disibukkan ....langsung tak kelihatan kan ..kan ...kan ...orang Gombak malas aku nak kata ...memang ke laut lah :-)

Kiter tak nak cerita pasal raya lagi ...sebab gambar belum dapat hahaha ....so kiter cerita pasal trip to South Island ajer lah dulu yea ...

Actually my flatmate and I plan the trip masa aku kat Malaysia. She just finished her Masters and nak balik Germany for good ..but dia nak jugak tunggu aku balik from Malaysia before balik sana ...we grew quite close in the last few months ..so last2 we planned to go for a holiday together ...sesampai nya aku from Malaysia, aku only stay in Welly for 2 night ..then terus cabut to South Island for a week ...memang penat but puas hati ...

so, what we did was took a ferry from Welly to Picton, crossing the Cook Strait, then a bus from Picton to Nelson. Kitorang based ourselves kat Nelson ...

(i)    First day - perjalanan Welly-Picton-Nelson. Then jejalan Nelson ajer to watch sunset
(ii)   2nd Day - Nelson city and hiking to the Centre of New Zealand, and watch sunset from the top of the hill
(iii)  3rd Day - rent a car, drove to Popunga, Golden Bay and Farewell Spit...with detour to Takaka and Pohara Beach
(iv)  4th Day - start of our hiking in Abel Tasman National Park, from Marahau to Anchorage
(v)   5th Day - another day of hiking ..but only from Anchorage to Pitts Head and Te Pukatea Bay
(vi)  6th Day - a relaxig day in Nelson - mostly at Founder Heritage Park
(vii) 7th Day - back to Picton by bus, and then to Welly by ferry - the highlight, aku mabuk laut haha!

tu jer sekilas my holiday di South Island ..nanti aku buat posting lagi ...coz gambar banyak sangat oiiiii ..last count, from 3 camera ..ada 2000 photos!  but seriously, the views are super awesome ...sangat2 cantik ...i felt i found a slice of paradise masa jalan jalan aritu ....

it was seriously a great holiday for me...aku mintak a week off from my sv after balik aritu and he said it was a great idea that aku gi holiday before start working again ...hahaha so now aku dah start kembali sibuk ...but, i will update the blog with cerita2 holiday tu nanti :-)

in the meantime, selamat hari raya kepada semua...maaf zahir dan batin

Liz kata tadi blog nie kurang gambar makanan hahaha ...so aku tak nak le mengecewakan dia ....meh aku boh gambar makanan di sini ... tadaaaaaa, it is plum cake made by my flatmate ...

Aku kan pindah to a new flat early this year ...and my new flatmate tu memang gila rajin masak ..selalu bila aku balik rumah, memang makanan dah terhidang ...my fav is vegetable casserole, pumpkin soup, stuffed capsicum ....memang tip top dia masak ...pastu selalu buat dessert ...that plum cake tu resipi ayah dia ...memang resipi keluarga ...sedap sangat, esp bila panas panas and dimakan with vanila ice cream or custard ....

aku pun terlebih rajin masa kat sana...bila stress ajer terus masak ...godek2 resipi ..or belajar masak ngan kawan ....i find cooking therapeutic ...menenangkan sesangat ...so, akak dah belajar buat kaya sendiri oooo ...and buat scones ....and buat cinnamon rolls .....

The best thing about cooking is bila apa yang kiter masak semua licin ...kembang vontot ok ..rasa bebaloi masak ...my flatmates and i selalu share masak ..and just enjoy each other punya cooking ...aku prefer baking ...Berna prefer cooking ..so ok lah kan ...ada balance di situ ...pastu kami selalu ajer ada tetamu ...bila tau kami masak ajer, sah2 akan ada tetamu ....which is good ...takde le hidup kesunyian kannnnnn ...

tapi yang paling orang selalu request are kaya and kuih bakar ....percaya tak??? org request ok! ada sekali tu aku tepek kat FB gambar my homemade kaya ...sampai opis the next day, aku bagi le my opismate ...dia kata ingatkan tak bagi....dia kata nampak dalam FB tapi tertunggu tunggu aku msg tanya dia nak kaya ke idak ...hahaha ...siap sedia bawak roti ke opis ...sebab dia agak2 yang aku akan bawak ke opis ....

kaya in the house ...my german flatmate sangat suka ...siap nak buat kalau dia balik germany ..the only ingredient yang dia takde nanti (katanya) ialah daun pandan ...

nie aku dah nak balik nie akan berubah lagi keadaan kat flat...sebab Berna akan balik negara dia end of the month ...and pengganti dia adalah minah singapore ...katanya masuk our flat semalam ...aku tak tau le dia tu macam mana ...guess i will know in the next few month ...tapi seriously my german flatmate is one of the best person to share a flat with ..sangat baik hati ..tak berkira  and can get along with my friends ...

I am back!!!

berbulan lama nya aku menghilang ...akhirnya hari nie baru muncul!

Walaupun berada di Malaysia tanah air tercinta, aku nie serupa jauh di perantauan. Blog tak update, whatsapp to adik beradik kurang ...aemu serba kurang ..kekawan semua kata aku ilang tanpa berita ..bak kata Liz, masa aku di NZ lagi banyak aku contact dorang - on daily basis - compared to masa aku berada di Malaysia ...

bukan sebab merajuk ke apa, cuma busy tu tahap dah out of control. I am here for 3 month - and on my data collection trip ...gila babas punya schedule..have to travel to the interior area for 2 months, kawasan plak takde internet line yang stabil ...plus too busy to blog ...the places yang aku visit tu a bit mencabar ...physically, technologically and mentally..but, at the end of the day, I had fun kat sana ..and kata kata semangat from my sv sangat membakar semangat hahahaha dia tulis dalam progress report aku kata she did extremely well despite the challenging environment :-)

nampak cam tak de challenge sangat kan? hahaha ...challenging coz now musim berubah2 ..masa air sungai naik, jadi sangat deras and orang yang bawak boat tak berani nak ferrykan kami ..only the very expert yang nak buat ...then masalah diesel ...selalu tak cukup diesel and yang diesel subsidi tu jgn harap le dapat ...so kena beli sendiri (aku le yang membeli) from town and bawak bila travel ke ulu ....and kena stay at lonhouses ...at places yang aku memang tak pernah pergi and so on ...nother challenge is cuaca extremely hot and humid ...a few days siap cecah 38 degree ..pengsan akak! and bila nak start kemarau, it is a different challenge pulak ..air sungai jadi sangat rendah ...and sangat merbahaya to the boat ...sebab batu2 mula kelihatan ..and only the expert can negotiate such river conditions ...

another challenge for me is mengatasi ketakutan naik boat hahaha ingat kes jeritan Liz di PD??? lol i have to say walaupun fieldwork dah berakhir,  aku masih tak berapa selesa naik boat :-) 

nak naik boat nie, aku siap terjatuh dalam sungai lagi ...memang hevat ..cam rusa masuk kampung!

Banyak cerita sebenarnya yang nak dikongsi but nanti nanti le aku tulis kan yea ..nie nak buat "homework" dulu ..al-maklum, akan balik uni in 2 weeks time
