March 2013 visit to Singapore

It is a quarter to 5..and I made a decision to blog. My last posting was on Feb8th...so gilos...no posting from me for more than 1 month...so gilos...I am gilos ...so gilos with work. I was busy with so many year end reporting...true up of the 2012 position for the region then at the same time preparing so many materials, information for the meeting with the vp, director bla bla bla which what the title of this posting is referring to.
But I am not going to talk about the meeting...sikit lah ..ok kot...overall feedback at the end of the meeting was good..but in between the flight landed in SG and that end..i had like a giant butterfly in my stomach..i was under so much stress...what worried me the most is whetehr or not I met the expectation and the standard...mmg berpeluh...apparently Izah and my boss said it didnt show except according to Izah..i was like too serious than the day to day me..ha..ha..ha..oklah tu...So coming back from that meeting is ,many many follow ups and more work... STRESS again!

Tak best lah cite pasal kerja ni...bosan kan.

The best part of the trip..apart of putting faces on the names...was when my dear hubby and the boys came and joined me....lepas stress ha..ha...ehh I also had kebab twice....seday Ejin oiiii!!!! We went there kan?

There is no sales in town  actually tapi my boys shopped sakan...bowling balls, some jerseys...adoiii...sometimes with kids ni tak beli kesian...habis semua buat muka puss in boots kata Duan...i didnt join their shopping spree...I only got myself some cheapy cheapy Zara and DKNY..yg way out of season punya...budak2 sedap sedap whatever on the rails.

Ahh one of the nights , the bank treat us at Sky on 57 at the Marina Bay Sands..awesome view from that 57th floor mmg gayat tahap cipan...I couldnt bring myself to stand at the glass fence....haiyo there is only the glass fence between you and the land...gilos ke...

Sky on 57 is run by a celebrity chef entah sapa...cant recall the name...the appetizer was goose liver ^~$#$%$#$#$#$#~!-- entah sedap ke tidak...

I took halal serving thus mainly fish..and the main dish was curry laksa...

not bad but I just hate the serving gap between one dish to another in fine dining..the plating and what not takes too long kot...and air fits your stomach in between...and thus u felt so full then about an hour after that lapar semula.

Another nite we had the chilli crab...

that same giant crab spot at Fullerton which i went to last time...ni macam like the must eat when you are in Singapore for the company.

The merlion is there and after dinner, should stay back for the laser work right from the MArina BAy Sands--so mmg hotspot.

This is one of the lunch with the finance team of the SG office--melimpah ruah...

Actually the picture only cover some the dishes...ada lagi tak sempat nak amik...either they are being extra generous or dia orang pun mengambil peluang...ha..ha..either way...we did enjoy the food....yummylicious..mixture of Thai and Indoensian cuisine...lega jumpa lada ha..ha..

Singapore trip back in May

Was in Singapore last May which I think could be considered as my last trip for the year lah...there is no plan to date for another trip to the land just a bridge away or anywhere else. I was there for the Eurofinance conference organised by the banks...unlike the last tax conference (the trip that ejin had joined me), this conference there were few Malays and ladies with tudung. I was not out of place per say lah...ha..ha..ha.
I dont really care actually but just wonder...where are my people?

Anyway , i stayed at Fairmouth Hotel Singapore and the convention was at Raffles Convention.

The hotel and the convention center was linked and situated in a shopping mall. tak ke seronok tu.? Tapi after 3 months in a row in Singapore, dah naik muak...and walking around alone is not my option for an enjoyable trip...luckily my aunty ana and chumad have been kind enough to join me on the first day.

my aunty ana is 50 something but still rocks huh...

They actually spent a nite with me..and .it was a great gossiping session with this lot ha..ha..ha..

I was 4 days 3 nights there and my BB was out of order...can you imagine? It was like you are out of this world...all i have was my old N73 from Adib...nak keluar kan pun trauma..ha..ha..Those attending the conference are using either BB or i phone or android or 2 of the combination of 3...it is so norm right? All looking so important , so how to put the n73 on my desk ha? kah..kah..kah...I think i was the only one who concentrated so much on the talk/debate...others are more on their smart phones than anything else....looking important kan? geram aku...ha..ha..

Oh..I also want to mentioned here that the Fairmouth is serving halal for its room dining.

They have one halal asean restaurant.My banker belanja us at that restaurant--of course it was me suggesting as it is halal--it was a very yummylicious lunch buffet...it has all the asean cuisine from chinese to japanese to the middle east...and durian as one of its dessert. If only I have my Torch I would snap a few pictures.

Finally kan...since the conf ended by friday noon..tak sempat to catch the firefly direct to Kuantan so i have to transt KL and waited for like 4 hours gitu...and i ended up here..rest and go....tengok local flights arm tu sunyi aje akak pun tried out this massaging seat...tergedik gedik lah meliuk lentuk badan kat situ...bila org lalu mula padang ke ceiling ha..ha..ha..

Best part of this trip is meeting my aunt and uncle ...others were flop--bosan tahap gaban!

Hop on Hop off di Singapura

decided to use the hop on hop off bus service masa di Singapore ...sebab senang nak cover tempat2 in one day ..Kalu gi tempat baru, I always use this kind of service ...masa kat Stratford upon Avon, London and Shanghai pun aku guna bus nie, senang sket jalan ...the price may be steeper than kalau guna bus biasa tapi it was worth it ....coz valid for 24 hours ...yang kat Singapore nie ada 3 jenis bus hop on hop off, aku choose the original tours ...price SD27 valid for 24 hours ..kalau ambik yang SD33 termasuk sekali river cruise - HIPPO cruise and Duck Tour ..aku tak ambik coz tahu tak akan cukup masa ...

Bus nie berpengkalan kat Suntec Tower tapi boleh start kat mana2 stop yang dorang lalui ...I started at Singapore Botanic Gardens jer ..and the adventure begins ...lol

First Stop: Singapore Flyer

 one of the destinations is Singapore Flyer ...kat kawasan nie ada tempat makan ...macam2  ada ..tapi yang halal was 1-2 kedai jer ...one of them is Adam Nasi Lemak heheheh....

kat Flyer nie tak ramai orang ...kalau London Eye, queue dia panjang jer ...kat sini, kekadang tu tak yah queue kata the tour operator ...price SD27 kot ..tak pasti sebab aku tak naik ...yang aku tahu dia ada discount for senior citizen tapi that discount is only applicable to senior citizens Singaporean and PR Singapore sajer ..org lain, bayar lah full price hehehehe


Next Stop: Merlion Park

Part aku jejalan kat Merion Park dah cerita dah before this (click here). Bus stop dia agak jauh from Merlion ..kena jalan sket ...but the view of the marina is awesome from here ....and One Fullerton area pun happenning jugak ...worth a visit lah ..kalau malam boleh lepak2 tengok scenic view of the marina area kat sini ...tempat makan pun banyak ...tapi kat patung merlion tu, orang senantiasa ramai ..macam ulat taik kata Fendi ...

Stop seterusnya: Orchard Road

Aku gi sini untuk cari makan jer ...pas keletihan berjalan2, aku stop to have a bite to eat ...plan nya nak ulang Shiraj Kebab tapi last2 malas ...pusing sana pusing sini last2 aku naik bus and proceed to the next destination ajer hehehehe .....coz 3 malam 4 hari kat sana, 3 hari aku menjengah Orchard Road! sampai tak tau nak masuk mana dahhhhh

Next stop: Bugis Street

aku stop sini untuk carik souveniours ...plan nak belikan t-shirt Singapore for the boys ...sebab ke mana saja aku pergi, aku memang akan belikan t-shirt tempat tu untuk dorang ...someone told me to go here untuk beli t-shirts ...got 3 kis t-shirts for SD10 ..then some key chains and fridge magnets ....pas dapat sume barang2 tu, aku mula le menapak tanpa hala tujuan hahahah ....kat depan nie ada Bugis Junction Mall ...masa tu tengah sales and orang ramai sangat ...aku masuk jap, terus kuar balik ..carik makanan hahahaha

terjumpa food court ..kat kedai sebelah Ridzuan Malay Corner, aku jumpa this kedai jual soto ...sedap jugak hehehe and it is only SD3  ....and drinks kat sini murah jugak ...air tebu etc just SD1 jer ...so aku kembung air kat sini ....sebab panas, minum banyak ...durian pun ada gak dijualkan sini ..pre-packed at SD15 a pack ..and nagka at SD5 per pack ...aku beli nangka ajer ...durian tu aku jeling2 ajer hahaha

capital mall tu aku tak smpat gi coz masa tu dah nak balik ...coz aku janji ngan Liz kuar gi Marina Square ngan dia after sessi conference dia abis ....so tunggu bus hop on hop off tu untuk balik hotel ...bus tu ada stop betol2 depan Ritz Carlton jugak ...tapi masa balik tu aku stop kat Suntec and then menapak through Marina Square untuk balik hotel ...dekat jer pun

Tadi belek2 album coz nak upload dalam FB ..nampak ada gak banyak gambar kat Botanic Garden nie ..so, buat entry gaya malas jer lah malam nie ...kiter buat photo entry jer ok ....(note: better photo entry dari tak berupdate kan?)

ok lah ...ada lagi gambar tapi malas dah nak upload ...nak tido ...esok aku nak masuk mengadap dragon lady ngan kuncu kuncu dia ...sah2 aku kena tembak...tapi aku plan nak jugak bagi dorang a piece of my mind ....so, have to sleep now, so that esok segar bugar untuk ditembak :-)

Conference in Singapore

Tajuk aje "conference:" but no picture related to it...
Ejin, mana ada banyak gambar kedai kedai kat aku...sikit aje.
Anyway, hello semua and salam jumaat...akak agak tension kerja hari jumaat ni coz weekend mood is all over me...had my tax and treasury meeting this morning...i was like suffocated right after that and terus malas tak terkata....too much lah sampai to the extent i actually asked myself if i can handle all this....ok itu lah sikit kisah "hari hari kerja" bosan kan?

I will be in SG again next week....bohsan tahap nak muntah!
So ok let me write about my recent trip to SG with my dear BFF Ms Ejin...ok here we go again the Marinabay Sands shopping mall...my gambar actually dari ejin jugak wahahahha...she definitely takes better pictures than me.... :)

 Ok we went into Dior....pegang --try--tanya harga---then letak--then pegang --try--tanya harga--then letak...rasa rasa sakit hati tak the sales person tu????

 Then we went into Gucci....same thing...did it all over again...sometimes when i came to my senses kan...apa lah guna bag banyak banyak ni..for the past few months, i have been using 4 aje...office is my black RAUOL, then weekend either the DKNY or the COACH...then sometimes the CK..yg lain terkeperuk dalam lemari....nak tukar ikut outfit pun malas jugak kan? i wonder kan those ladies yg beratus handbag tu especially those yg duit duit terlebih tu kan....yg siap berebut dgn Beyonce who get teh latest LV tu....do you really need all those???
But still it is nice to have one white handbag ha...ha..ha...apa aku cakap tak serupa bikin kan...i am only human, peeps! ha..ha..message tadi untuk my Mr Hubby :)

 Then after a few shops....masuk pulak LV...this is one art gallery....teh walkway to the actual showroom tu ada all these art work and its earlier designs kot....same thing again...amik-try-tanya harga and letak balik---tak de kerja kan? Memang pun tak de kerja ha..ha..

 My dearrest Ejin...the truth is macam tak sangka that we can have this "vacation"...So glad to have you with me...walau pun daily we whatsapp but to ctach up face to face is priceless...suka sangat..nanti bila senang boleh ikut lagi kan?

This was Day3 kan? lapar sangat pusing sana pusing sini...semua "no pork no lard" ada satu aje kedai halal but selling ayam penyet....adoiiii tolong lah ayam ayam penyet ni tak erti akak nak suka...ada satu kedai tu selling char keoy teow...so I asked "do u use pork"...aunty answered "got...got...got...tehre no pork." and showed me that ayam penyet...erkkkkkkkkk...finally we ended up with yong tau fu..i was so lega...ejin dah had 2 meals before this...during her hop on hop off activity tu...ha..ha..

 Told u ejin took better pic...kalau akak yg tangkap ni tak tentu lah nak include marinabay sands tu...

 Actually i have not taken rice for the past 2 days...except for some sushi served by the conference...and we made our way to TomYam express for rice...amik aje lah whatever yg seafood...pheww lega dapat nasi...the very the melayu kan? I am and proud to be one....

 Below are some pictures of the hotel ...very nice...but I still prefer Royal Plaza for being Halal...:)

 Ok...why showing the fingers...my dearest friend ni kena temberang dgn minah saleh mana and bought manicure kits for SGD100...i was like "OMG"....ada lah lotion and what not...but SGD100 is way too much lah...itu akibatnya tak berjalan with a finance madam like me :)..ha..ha..ha....Jalan with me ended up with some heels and some "skinny" stuff...PS: jangan lupa gi potong.....and all on discounts....shopping dengan berhemah... :)

 Last but not least...whatsapp-ing while staying in a same room...
