Melaka River Cruise 2010

The very next morning, after breakfast kat hotel, we took off to the city centre ...plan nyer utk jalan2 kat situ ajer ....sebab dulu pun dah a few times pi Melaka ....so, A Famosa etc etc semua dah pernah tengok ...but yang tak pernah dibuat lagi was the River Cruise ...it is next on Dad's agenda ....we all naik cruise to at 1.00 rasa ner ..sebab before that pi Stadhuy Museum lah ...naik Menara Taming Sari etc etc (posting akan dibuat nanti) ..

Cruise was fun! Jetty untuk cruise nie terletak not far from the Red Square ...and not far from Kincir Air nie ...

kalau dah nampak kincir air nie, follow jer signboard ...jetty to ke arah kiri (kalau ke kanan akan menuju ke area Red Square) ...tiket orang dewasa RM10 - no diskaun untuk warga tua LOL hehehehe ...kanak2 punya rate aku not sure brapa ...boat banyak, and quite frequent ...masa kami sampai pun queue agak panjang - sebab weekend and cuti Deepavali kan, but we did not wait long ....

 

as usual dengan geng masing2! Nie sebelum boat bergerak ...

Masa naik boat nie dah kol 1 tengahari ..tu yang muka memasing keletihan and kemerahan ..panas..letih ..semua ada ...the view along the river was nice ..a nice way to explore the city sebenarnya ..and Melaka had done great in the conservation department ...view along the river cantik...my dad was impressed hehehehe ...

sepanjang cruise nie - takes about 45 mins to 1 hour gitu - banyak melalui jambatan ...semua jambatan ada sejarahnyer ...aku tak brapa nak ingat lah ...but jambatan2 semua cantik ...nicely done and decorated ...

Jambatan Kampung Morten

Cruise nie from city centre to Kampung Morten and then patah balik ...Kampung Morten nie popular jugak ...one of the oldest traditional kampung kat Melaka ...and it is a living musuem (cari lah rumah yang dinamakan Villa Sentosa) ..dinamakan sempena British High Commissioner ke Melaka once upon a time iaitu Frederick Joseph Morten ...

tour guide tu kata, any renovation etc kat Kampung nie perlu menepati ciri2 tradisi - takleh pepandai buat design sendiri kot - and akan dibiayai oleh Kerajaan Negeri ...i, sebagai planner, think that is a great conservation job! in fact, aku rasa kalau ada masa aku nak visit kampung nie ...aritu sesangatlah tak sempat nyer ...

Overall, aku amat berpuas ati ngan river cruise nie ...tapi kan we were not given any life jacket ...dah half way pi cruise tu, baru di announce life-jacket underneath the seat ...so, sesapa nak naik cruise nie, amat digalakkan ....you will enjoy yourself! but ingat, lifejacket under your seat!

Fid ada suggest aku pi naik cruise nie malam coz the view cantik, but sebab kekangan masa, we all did the afternoon cruise ..maybe next time! But the last trip, my parents had enjoyed themselves ..and that's all that matters to me :-)
