Raya Korban 2012 and Engagement

Aloha...Silica masuk office tak leh buat kerja kena pakai mask bagai ni...Alhamdulillah my foreign tax package met the dateline which was yesterday..it involves deferred taxes calculation which I think quite a challenge..some countries are quite simple and straight forward but some are ...phewww...Ok enough about work.

Not sure if it is still ok to wish Salam Aidil Adha...I know raya puasa is sebulan but Raya Haji--I didnt even know that the korban only allowed for certain days and some days are not allowed...my knowledge is rather shallow! Tinggi sikit aje dari Ms Ejin yg revert tu ...phewwww! i read somewhere that we shouldnt call Mualaf a convert because human are born Muslim so they are the Revert!
Ok nak share my Raya Haji activities...was in Pekan for malam raya..then after sembahyang we made our move to JB. Nothing much lah on the raya day itself...biasa biasa aje..makan...I requested for family pic..semua tak nak layan , Afi kata alah sama aje dgn Raya Puasa. I only have this pic of dearest Aariz

By right we should celebrate Raya Haji more than Aidil Fitri because raya haji is about pengorbanan kepada yg Maha Esa...and Aidil fitri among other things is celebrating human's victory (on the fasting.).
 Tahun ni tak buat korban insyallah ada rezeki and panjang umur tahun depan kita buat..

 “Tiada amal anak Adam yang lebih disukai Allah pada hari Aidiladha melainkan ibadat korban. Sesungguhnya binatang yang dikorbankan itu akan datang pada hari kiamat lengkap dengan tanduk, bulu dan kukunya. Sesungguhnya ibadat korban ini diredhai Allah sebelum darah binatang itu jatuh ke bumi. Maka hendaklah kamu berasa lapang dada dan reda akan ibadat korban yang kamu lakukan.” (Hadis riwayat At-Tirmizi)

That malam raya...we celebrated my youngest's sister's birthday  aka Mak Usu for the boys ..

Then on the next day , my Mak Ana threw an engagement kenduri for her daughter Fatin or Kak Tin as the boys like to call her! The food was all home made...there were Laksa johor, nasi jagung plus the lauk pauk and entah lah mende mende lagi....sorry no picture...entah cam ne boleh terlepas lak.Memang meriah lah and  lavish..siap ada door gift bagai. See the below picture...the girls were looking at the ring...so sweettttt kan???
Fatin is so sweet.....Duan said she is like forever in the secondary school kind of ages...a nice girl she is!Congratulations for the engagement Fatin!!

The discussion was quite lengthy...they should have been seated in the middle of the room sebab tak dengar habuk apa di bincangnya...and the 3/4 of the room tu perempuan belaka bising jugak...akak dah shhh shhhh shhhh...sometimes people just ignore the protocol....and respect jugak..tak boleh lah aku kalau gitu!

Personally even without my treasury hat rasa macam bazir bertunang2 ni..tumbang kan lembu sekor dah jadi kenduri kahwin....given a situation when money is not an issue...still I cant get the real purpose of bertunang...nak kata suai kenal ..kawan aje pun dah bertahun2...nak  bertunang lagi --tied for one year then kahwin. This is all Malay's tradition got nothing to do with Islam. Islam itu mudah..yg complicated umat nya sahaja. Anak kita semua lelaki so in the future, we dont decide on this I think it is more on the girls' side's preference...kita ikut aje lah after all nak berkeluarga kan :) -- i have a feeling that i sound OLD ! euwwwwwwwwwwww...Tak tahu lah kalau ni Johor punya style...maybe kot!

Anyway...i love the family gathering..the kenduri atmosphere...the green theme...know what my sisters said my kebaya --the color is so kusam..that is an old kebaya actually..he..he..but I dont mind at all ...there were time when people's comment was a big deal but not anymore.. i am so over that phase!-- sounding OLD again! ha..ha..ha..Aku dgn Duan tetap sweet gituuu! Yang penting ikut theme okays!

Confession: actually kan the reason why I dont have picture of the food sebab I actually ate before the kenduri started...when the acara ended and people went out for makan2 we have cabut to JPO...ha..ha..ha..again kan? dapat lah burberry satu..coach belt...polo-guess-adoiii tenat...and finally i managed to get a red purse...it was displayed in the man's dept but I think it is very ladies lah...nice ke nice? Nice right??? Yang orange is the old one...hard leather..i ended up use both sekarang sebab banyak sgt cards...ha..ha..god helps me! We bought his and hers..Duan was a black one...sama panjang ha..ha.. Fendi nak kutuk dah tu...he uses sling bag these days so oklah...Kalau I kutuk those guys yg pakai big purse before..akak tarik balik okays..ha..ha...

And that ends my posting for Raya HAji...tehre will be another engagement around the corner...do watch this space people...Ni depan rumah my Mak Ana...tak payah gi Trafalgar Square gitu....
Nampak my Mak Ana with the apron...dia begitu pantas and kemas...petang and pagi nya tu masak eveything dah siap..tinggal tumis tumis aje..and malam after the kenduri ...semua siap, kemas, bersih...tinggal bukak kemah aje....My aunties and my mom bab mengemas memang tabik spring...Mmg dasaT!
