Dinner at Phu Thai Lanna and dessert at Enigma

Last Friday I went out for dinner with Anita ..as a farewell treat ...sebab she is leaving soon ...and most of her days and evenings are booked nowadays ...semua penuh ngan farewell and meeting up with friends ...so I "booked" her in advance ...hahaha decided to go for a Thai dinner

She introduced me to Phu Thai Lanna ...a thai restaurant kat Vivian Street, sebelah Tequila Joe ..at that juntion near Moore Wilson ...a bit of a walk from my place ...but was worth it hahahaha ...

I was browsing the menu looking for somtam ...punya lah mengidam kan ...takde ...but when the waitress sampai to take our order aku tanya le samada dorag ada somtam or not ...waitress tu kata takde dalam menu, but the chef can make it ..hahaha berbunga hati bila hajat kesampaian :-)

it was carrot somtam ...aku ingat kan yang macam kat Bangkok le kan ...guna papaya uda ..tapi takde ...but logic gak...ntah2 takde stok papaya muda kan ...the first taste was awesome ,,terasa kepedasan ..kemasaman and kemanisan nya ....syiokkkkk oooo ...a well balanced flavours kata food critics ....and dorang guna cili padi ...memang kaw kaw pedas ...sampai satu part tu aku tak rasa bibir aku hahaha ..but so worth it!

then our sweet sour fish sampai ...Anita tak bagi order banyak ..coz she said kalau order ikan memang dorang akan bagi ikan seekor ...and deep fried tu ...yummy ...with pineapples, tomatoes, oranges and what not ...and we had it with the rice ...yum yummm ..the best part here, dorang memang siap2 dah potong isi ikan tu ...so easy to eat ....sedap plak tu!

Reason tak ambik banyak food (both dishes tu mmg portion besar!) was nak save perut for dessert ...aku mmg awal2 nak sticky rice with mango ...malang nya takde ...so aku ambik the next best thing ...sticky rice with lychee ....satu lagi choice was sticky rice with pineapple

muka keletihan ...nampak sangat letih ...if last week meletihkan, minggu minggu mendatang nie akan lebih meletihkan aku ....

Pas makan tu, we decided to have coffee kat Enigma ..at Courtney Place ..memang amongst our fav place tu ....desserts to die for ...aku kat sini dah 9 bulan but i have yet to try all the dessert and pastries ...selalu ajer ada benda baru here ...

Our current favourite: Banoffee Cheesecake!

Tapi malam tu aku tak jadi order Bannofee Cheesecake ..anita jer order that one ..coz I was tertarik dan jatuh ati pada Baklava ....so temptingly delicious ..macam memanggil manggil aku disebalik counter hahahaha

tak dapat nak describe ....sweet but not sickly sweet ...full of pistachio ...yumm sampai teringat2 tu hahahah next time in town, I will get this again! sedap sangat ....and I had it with my regular cappucino ...sambil borak2 ...and tunggu waktu for my bus to arrive

Am loving it ...my life styles hahahaha makan ...makan dan makan walaupun kerja banyak dan bertimbun timbun ..but pas nie akan kurang aktiviti huhuhuhu ...time to crack my brain sampai ke titisan yang terakhir :-)
