Hellooooooo ...ms. gina in the house hehehehe ...just a posting on what i did in class last week. Since aku join that PG Dip course yang begitu encourage lecturers to minimize formal lecture style in order to bagi student lebih berminat dan lebih memahami kandungan lecture yang diutarakan, aku pun ambik inisiatif dan tukar style pengajaran aku...now, instead of lecture style and menyebabkan aku bercakap tak henti2 tu ...aku cakap sikit, then buat class discussion or kekadang tu buat role play, debate, forum or games - cam budak tadika kan! satu kelainan daripada my normal membebel style!
Anyway, last week aku buat class activity ...student2 yang ku sayangi tu dibahagi kpd group untuk discuss topic yang diberi ...then present their findings to the class ...cara present tu aku bagi kelonggaran ikut creativity sendiri ....tapi aku tengok lebih kurang aje lah ...diorang kata perhaps next time diorang buat lain coz ari tu terkezut sebab tak expect diorang yang kena bercakap ...ingatkan mai kelas nak dengar aku bercakap hehehehehe ...i like this style ...aku kurang bercakap, student kena participate yang secara tidak langsung akan menyebabkan mereka berfikir then tampil voluntarily to bagi pendapat or present to class tanpa aku paksa2! the result was: SURPRISING!!!! after that class, the following classes plak kebanyakan student dah pandai2 angkat tangan and suarakan pendapat masing2 ...and the interaction between lecturer and student was better .....i hope they learn more ...and that ini bukan angat2 tahi ayam je ....

for English, group/pair work & then presenting it... good to brush up their public speaking skills. unfortunately, sometimes, the same person will do the talking. last2 aku cakap, all must speak or yg tak cakap tu will get 0 for personal assessment.
u c, diorang ni ingat, each group member will get the same marks.
i told them, other subjects mungkin, but not mine. heh, some of them memang buat muka le.

since i change style and instruction, takde org yang monopolise discussion...which i think is great. Kalau buat group, i ask them to choose a leader whom they assume akan present ...but i told the them later that the leader should choose org lain to present..that keep them on their toes a bit lah ...or i bawak senarai nama and ask them to choose a number - org with corresponding number which have to talk that day etc ...
ceh..lecturers bertukar tukar pendapat pulek.....fend kite kena mengundur kan diri ke?
