HoChiMinh 1

Dear our 600,000 loyal followers, hik! hik!..

My prev trip to vietnam was ok, better desc was 'panas, sweaty all the time, dusty & makan boring and depressing except for shopping!"

Our very first stop was War Museum, depressing place where i see LOTS of bombs, tankers, jet planes, gory pics of dead American soldiers with decapitated head & limbs.. Fuh!! Never knew being a tourist can be a depressing experience.

Not to forget the pics of deformed babies ie, no hands, feets with funny names (but not so funny looking cacat kids!) like rabbit legs, seal-like legs..

Next is the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Abt 2hrs from the city, naik bus, everybody dah lembik, bila sampai, tgk2 kena masuk hutan la pulak.. hampeh!!
That was by bos kat emergency surgery room underground..

Turned out, it was an eye-opener experience.. in all , a total of 250kms underground tunnels complete with hosp, kitchen, meeting rooms, more like underground city for the ppl to hide from the armies. Tapi nak masuk kena merangkak.. what an experience!!

Did u know that the Vietnam War lasted 30yrs? 1945-1975 to be exact. However, neither US or Vietnam wins! One interesting point, ada this room called 'Smoke Room", where cooking smoke is kept in the space and only released in the mornings . Reason: Pagi ada kabus, so, armies cannot tell the point of the smoke and reveal their hideout. Clever kan?
