My weekend retreat @Damai: Day 1

Minggu nie aku takde weekend ...no free weekend..reason: aku kena kerja siang & malam this week (in fact aku type posting nie pun masa lunch ...between workshop sessions!), jadual amat pack ...tapi aku tak leh lari ke hapa ke ...sebab i am carless ...my brother drove me here, and I am completely stranded at this paradise on earth ..tempat mmg cantik ..dengan gunung nyer, dengan pantai nya ...deruan ombak Laut Cina Selatan memukul pantai ..cantik lah ...if only this is a relaxing trip kan ..boleh le menghayati permandangan ....

(maaf yea, aku pakai camera fon ajer ..camera kat bilik mesyuarat tadi)

Nie ajer gambar aku sempat tangkap petang semalam ...before pi dinner aku ke tepi pantai ...tengok2 air pasang (king tide); laut bergelora ...and the sign says that the beach is closed ..yea lah, sapa le nak berenang time2 laut bergelora mcm nie kan ....

Then biler masuk meeting room ajer...terus kerja, kerja kerja ...kuar2 dari meeting room dah kol 11.30 malam ..pantai pun gelap jer ..huhuhuhu ...mmg tak berkesempatan lah nak leisure2 jalan tepi pantai semalam ...but aku akan try to jalan2 ambik gambar petang nie ...hopefully sesssion abis on time i.e. 5pm ....coz by 7.00 aku dah kena ada kat tempat makan plak ...

 

tengok betapa tebal nyer report yang nak kena dibaca & difahami ...

Malam nie baru giliran group aku untuk bentangkan our findings ....so, nampak gaya nyer tido lambat lagi lah aku malam nie .....

Jammed

Kalau penat penat lepas kerja pastu masa drive balik jalan jammed giler...boleh bikin stress seduniakan. Masa tu mula la berangan angan alangkah baiknya kalau ada highway depan rumah. Padahal depan rumah aku memang highway Duke pun. Apakah???

Pastu singgah bank...dengan harapan tak payah la nanti kena keluar balik semata mata nak pi bank kan. Lepas bersusah payah mengharungi segala kepayahan merentas jammed. Masuk je bank...ada notice system down. Di suruhnya pulak nko pergi ke nearest branch. Dengan jammed sana sini...that is not an option. Aku terus drive balik je.

Lalu jalan biasa yang aku lalu biler dah sampai area rumah. Tetiba pulak jalan yang selalu clear...hari ni boleh jammed. Menguji betul kesabaran. Tapi perlukah aku stress? Tak perlu...sebab????

Nampak van jual rojak dan cendol terus aku park keta dan order cendol durian dengan rojak. Member aku order cendol mangga. Buat apa nak stress stresskan...baik enjoy makan cendol lagi best. he he he.

siap ada ulas biji durian. tapi tak leh lawan yang kat jonker street la.

tambah pulak...kawan yang belanja...hilang sume stress...ha ha ha

Ni pulak cara Ej nak hilangkan stress...duduk kat kerusi massage ni. Nak mintak orang tu hadiahkan aku kerusi massage ni la for birthday nanti. ha ha ha

Kemangkatan Sultan Iskandar, the late Sultan Johor

Last saturday, Pahang declared 3 days of mourning for the demise of the late Sultan Iskandar of Johor. So i told my dear Dut, that i have to make sure for the coming monday, all the flags at the factory to hang somewhere in the middle of the flagpost. Thus, that was what i did first thing monday morning...i.e. informed the plant manager.

Being a Johorean myself, i share the sadness felt by 'rakyat' Johor.

Semoga Allah mencucuri rahmat ke atas roh al marhum...Al Fatihah.

Nasi Dagang

Meh..nak tambah lagi perihal makan memakan...biar muntah tengok food!

Kat Pahang ni antara makanan rasmi ialah Nasi Dagang.....raya - nasi dagang, breakfast pun nasi dagang, nasi dagang @ kenduri...dll occassion.

I cant remember my first introduction to nasi dagang but the timing tu definitely after i started going out with my dear hubby:)) Sebelum tu, tak pernah kenal or even heard about nasi dagang....

my family are typical southerner--kalau breakfast --nasi lemak, nasi goreng, roti and roti canai.PElik pelik like this nasi Berdagang ...nasi kerabu...nahe..nahe..nahe....lagi lah East coast punya food...

Tapi jodoh pertemuan di tangan tuhan...gitu mukadimmah makanan ...kah..kah..kah...maka Termakan jugak .....and i love nasi dagang from the very first suapan...gitu!

I particularly love nasi dagang made by my dear mother-in-law....memang lebih hangat dari biasa..Maka sekiranya, akak balik ke Pekan...akan ada lah selalu nasi dagang untuk breakfast....

and this is our breakfast last sunday....sedap lagi menyedapi....

Seumur hidup belum pernah try lagi buat nasi dagang...nantilah di suatu hari yg tenang.....

Perihal makanan ...

Biler aku belek2 folder gambar aku this month, mostly gambar food ...biler aku kuar ajer, aku tangkap gambar food ...aku tak byk berjalan this month, tapi nampak gaya nyer (as evidenced by the photos) byk pi tempat makan le kot ....nie tak leh jadi ...aku tak nak ikut jejak langkah abang ngah yang mmg sinonim ngan makanan ....kan ..kan ...kan ...

Yang nie, kawan2 semua ..is what we called Wantan Noodles ...wantan yang inti nya udang. From my observations as well as from my discussion ngan kekawan, actually wantan in every place is different ..kalau kat KL (or rather in Semenanjung) wantan noodles is different from wantan noodles in Sarawak ...

and nie plak is one of those dessert or pencuci mulut ...called Grandma's Plum something something ..aku lupa lah nama betul dia ...but taste like asamboi (which is plum kan?)...chinese-influenced punya dish ...

Aku order plum dessert-ish thingy nie sebab gambar kat poster and menu dia nampak cantik ...tapi rasa dia not to my liking ....so, will not order this again ...

and this one is one of the noodle dishes kat SRC ...lupa nama nya sebab bukan aku yang order...hehehehe

 and last but not least, mee jawa ....sedap yang nie tau!

So, ada sapa2 yang terliur tak? hehehehe ....tak tau le korang macam mana, tapi in my case, aku akan makan...dan makan ...dan makan lagi biler stress ..and at the moment tahap stress aku mmg tinggi sebab aku busy ..banyak datelines ...huhuhuhu ..so, lepas nie akan ada lagi lah posting pasal makanan ...better cakap awal2 sebelum kak long complain kata aku dah jadi mcm fend sebab asyik buat posting pasal makanan ...

Betul ke?

Besides Famous Amos...ini la biskut fav Ej. I bought 3 packets yang each packets ada 12 small packets macam ni. EJ finished semua in less than a week. To be exact...4 days. I was told by someone dulu jangan banyak sangat makan biskut...ada kandungan apa entah banyak sangat nanti not good for the bones ke apa entah aku pun tak ingat dan tak pasti whether it is true or not. Betul ke ?

Anyway...I always believe we have to bersederhana dalam semua perkara. I told Ej I will not buy her biskut seminggu dua ni. Dia cam tak puas hati je tanya aku kenapa tak boleh makan biskut. Nak buat macam mana kan dia bukan makan...but melantak. Sampai setiap masa nak makan biskut nanti nasi tak nak makan.

Yang pening sekarang ialah nak fikir apa alternative selain biskut yang boleh Ej makan buat lapik perut?
Susah tul kalau bab bab makan ni memilih sangat. Cuba lah ikut macam cara mama ejin dia tu survive kat Bandung....semua benda belasah tak hingat punya. Apakah? Tetiba je mak angkat dia masuk dalam ini cerita? Nak buat camnekan...sampai biler biler mesti teringat punya gulai yang Ejin makan berselera sekali...kah kah kah.

Santai

I was suppose to have meeting somewhere in Town pastu on the way to lunch the users requested to change the venue to Damansara. Had to go for quick lunch sebab nak kejar masa. My fren and 1 then decided to go to this place called Santai kat Tesco Ampang because it is on the same route and I wanted to go Damansara by The Duke Highway. In addition the users wanted to bring forward the meeting to earlier time.

The restaurant was almost full house. I supposed the food was quite ok. Sebab tu ramai orang. Have tried few times before. Fid loves the tomyam and kerabu mangga kat sini.

I ordered Tomyam tulang. First time tried and not bad. Satanem. Ate as fast as I could and rushed to Damansara. Reached there on time before the meeting started. It was so hot and I was totally sweat as if has just finished jogging 10 laps kat Titiwangsa. Apakah?

That's why I have cool water with me...to keep me refresh and cool as always...ha ha ha.

Replacement class.

Ej wanted to do marathon replacement classes for Da vinci. Malas nak argue dengan dia, we just let her attended the class. Her first session started at 11.30am. At 1.30 we went to the class to take her out for lunch and sent her after that for the 2nd session. On the way to KFC tetiba EJ changed her mind nak makan kebab lak. Terus masuk Tarbush. She wanted beef kebab tapi takde. Ada chicken kebab je. Mummy konon nak makan light light je end up ordered hommus.

Ni la rupenya hommus tu. Fid pun tak makan dok cukai kebab aku akhirnya. Hommus tu is Chickenpeas dengan olive oil makan dengan pitta bread. To me so so je la...tapi fid and ej tak suka langsung. Suruh order briyani rice tak nak.

Muka excited je...macam the other side of midnite kalau compared to muka toye dia malam tadi kat william...kan kan kan.

Frust sebab dok ingat beef kebab tapi rupanya chicken.

See...her frustrated face boleh lagi senyum senyum. Sabar je la.

Fid and I memang plan nak ke Pavilion. Tapi tak sangka lak dapat berdating berdua sebab EJ kat Da vinci. After sent EJ to Da Vinci terus kami ke Pavilion. Jarang jarang dapat peluang nak berdating ni. ha ha ha. Layann.

Sempat lagi tu posing bawah pokok sakura ni. Rasa macam kat Korea pulak. In 3 years time boleh plan pi ke Korea kalau Universal Studio tu jadi di buat kat Korea. Kalau tak...cam takde trill je nak pi sana.

After finished shopping dengan jayanya. We went to The Loaf. Just wanted to have coffee since both of us were still full.

Sume satanem except the Magazine d'Amande. The second from the right. it tasted like normal crackers with chocolate filling yang too sweet. But the rest tu sume meletops. The right most tu blueberry and cheese. Sedap bangat.

Muka happy je dapat dating...apakah?

After that we went back to da vinci to fetch EJ. When we reached there Ej tak siap lagi her drawing. Pastu her drawings cam tak memuaskan hati je tengok. The colour sume dull je. Dia mixed sendiri the colour tu. Dah pesan suruh dia mixed colour tu pekat pekat sikit...sememeh je aku tengok biler dia colour the background tu.

Yang ni Visit Malaysia 2010. Ok sikit as compared to the other two tu.

Lunch at The Apartment, The Curve with Sok Sek gals

This event i went to yesterday has been planned for quite sometimes....in whichever group i am , i am the one who is living out of the circle...like for geng bas sekolah...Ejin is the furthest but she regularly went down to KL for work or leisure --and I am still away..:(

As for the Ex-Sok Sek, most are still in Penang and a bunch are in KL....so they are like "call us whenever u are in town" but when i am in KL -it is usually family this and that, and with 2 days interval it is impossible to slot in any other agenda ...

It was initially to throw a get together for a friend who came back for holiday from the UK--but like most woman with hubby and kids --it is just not that simple to arrange--she's not able to join but we decided to proceed with the plan and there we were @...The Apartment, The Curve...

And the process of reminiscing down the memory lane started all over again....and am particularly honoured because one of our teachers who is now in UITM had came along to join.She is the one sitting on my left...she is a REAL awet muda...dont u agree with me? she has not changed a bit..she was "cikgu komputer" when we were in form 2-3.....so i got my introduction to IT and computer itself from her...am so thrilled!!!

and she told me, "Nasliza awak dulu selalu buli saya."..gosh i dont remember that ...and she also mentioned that "Nas punya geng --kite tau and tengok sangat"--it actually sounded more like "we have to watch out for any mischief act from this geng"...adooiiiii.....

......in my collection, i was like a SAINT during school...cam ne boleh keluar cite cite gini......kah..kah..kah......haiyo pening akak!....kah..kah..kah..

Kalau jumpe cikgu lain lagi mahu masuk bawak meja aku....takutsssss......he..he..he....

Ok ..The one in brown tudung, Arpah classmate during form 1-3--kelas Putih...(then she went to Science stream)

The other 3...those wearing tudung classmates from form 1-5 and the other one classmate form 4-5-kelas Biru---we were so closed before and even now -thru emails...thanks to technology!

It was great great great fun....cerita tak habis...

Ok let's talk a bit about food in The Apartment....the place is cosy, spacious and nice...they have like certain theme for each table and corner e.g. a shower, beddy, kitchen, hall etc..

See that day-bed...before we crammed there--there were a lovely young couple having a cosy mosy time over lunch.....emmmmm....for 30 sth like us, kepoh kepoh sebok jeling jeling......he..he..he..just dont be judgmental...they are still young...kite apa???? TIGA PULUH TUJUH...penuh mulut nak sebut kah..kah..kah...

I had Seared Salmon Fillet...taste good but very filling...I am a Salmon fan .... for me this is SO recommended

Cikgu and another friend had Baked Dory Fish topped with cheese....this is NOT recommended...we had it returned and replaced with other dish...personally I just dislike Dory...

the staff there are awesome....you dont have to sing-seng lengan,.. just tell them why the food is not up to your expectation , they explained their facts and still omit the food from your bill....way to go The Apartment!...kalau dalam facebbok, akak dah tagged "I LIKE"..

Lamb Shank....this is good

Mussels something...another mouthwatering...Duan would love this!...masa makan ni teringat laki aku...jiwang ke hapa aku ni...kah..kah..kah...

for dessert...strawberry parfait...this is a thumbs up and coffee trifle i think--but no picture..sorry!

Last but not least...thanks to my dear Dut who made this happened...for patiently waiting for me mengilai for 3 hours - and dgn rela hati , ate his lunch alone ....and later bought me another CK white top ...muah...muah...muah.....

Oops she did it again

Dah lama aku dengan fid nak pi makan kat William. Tapi dari dulu Ej tak suka. Mulanya thought nak pergi berdua je tapi risau lak Ej nanti kat umah tak dinner dok tengok tv je layan atuk dia. Ej pun initially said she didn't want to follow takut terlepas cerita kau dan aku. When I told her pergi makan je then terus balik umah. Dia akhirnya agreed to follow. On the way she felt asleep. Sampai kat William dia buat memek muka lagi...ha ha ha.

sampai je terus sambung tidur.

Fid dengan aku tetap bersemangat nak layan nasi goreng.

Ingat kan sebab Ej suka ketam aku order nasi goreng ketam. Tak sesedap nasi goreng sotong. Nasi goreng sotong kalau yang ada petai...meletops.

Ordered fettucinne cabonara sebab Ej kan suka cabonara.. Dia makan beberapa suap je pastu continue tidur.

Food yang lazat depan mata pun dia tak excited lagi. Apakah?

Macam kena paksa makan...ha ha ha.

Last last bungkus bawa balik. Ordered pulak ribena longan saiz giant dengan blueberry yogurt drink. Kenyang sampai nak muntah. All in all Rm50 je. Masa makan kat KLCC hari tu...3 kali ganda lagi mahal tapi food entah apa apa.

Puas hati dapat datang makan kat sini...next time Ej tinggal kat umah la...makan biskut je kat umah. Malas nak paksa paksa dia.

Start Class Da Vinci

Ej started resume her Da Vinci class earlier today. Actually it is late by 2 weeks. We wanted to wait for her tuition schedule and I was away to Malacca last week. Sib baik ada tempat lagi. So Ej has to catch up for her missed class. 3 classes she has missed including from last year. Tomorrow she will have one of her replacement class. The other 2 tak tahu la biler.
While waiting for Ej, fid and I lepak kat Delifrance. We had mixed fruit danish and mixed fruit family flat croissant. Yang family flat croissant tu sikit sikit ada rasa cam german strudel. Sikit je la.

Tak puas I ordered pulak pancake and ice cream. So so je. Kena makan kat pancake house jugak kalau nak yang sedap. Recipe Philipine.

Kat ground floor ada promotion spectacles. Look see look see jugak tapi takde yang berkenan.

Jangan ingat kat disneyland je boleh jumpa Mickey. Tapi kalau korang nak gelak tengok mickey ni silakan...aku gelak dalam hati je. he he he.

4.30pm pergi Da Vinci tapi Ej tak habis lagi. Mintak 15 minutes extra katanya. So I went up tunggu and still tak siap lagi. So no picture of her drawings today. Kan dia dah start lukis orang. Tu yang lambat siap agaknya. Tak pandai nak draw orang lagi.

time flies ...

Begitu cepat masa berlalu ...seems like baru je Airell nie stays with me ....rupanya dah over a year! dia dok Kuching since he was one month ...from tak tau apa2 to now very naughty ...from tak pandai bergerak to now merangkak, and learning to walk ....time really flies ....

a collection of Airell's photos when he was less than 5 months old (gambar kat atas)...agak chubby masa kecik tapi now dah kurang chubby ...sebab dah makin aktif, makin nakal ...and learning to stand & walk ....bontot berat sket coz agak lambat belajar berdiri hehehee ....

now karektor dia makin terserlah ...we can see yang dia nie agak pendiam@ serius compared to abang nya Al ...but when he wants something, he is very impatient ...like nak susu tu demand terus there and then ...dengan suara dia nangis begitu sayu sekali hehehe and he is also adventurous ...berani cuba benda2 baru like trying that red battery-operated car ...like trying to climb onto his Tolo car unassisted ....

mmg tak terasa sangat dah over a year dia dok ngan aku ....i enjoy his presence very much ...but now that aku tahu mummy dia nak balik for good in a few month, sedih pun ada gak coz it would not be the same anymore ....
