Burquini

Guys...do you know that the head to toe swimming suit for muslim is called BURQUINI ? I dont - until today..i bet it is a combination for BURQA + BIKINI...weird name.. why need to combine with bikini??? My friends and i, we actually call ourselves "serious divers" when wearing the attire...we do look like one right??? with cap and all....

Anyway.., i was reading the net this morning and came across an article banning this burquini in France in order to comply with the normal health standard or the pool hygiene std.

This is bizarre, it is not like one fine day you wake up in the morning, go to the wet market in the burquini then to the shopping mall collecting all the dirts in the air and virus whatsoever thru out your activites then at the end jump into the public pool. Who is silly enough wanted to do that? I believe,we like other people who plan for a swim, will change into the swimming suit at the changing room....duh!

and another bizarre comment is that " we are going back in civilization"...why is it when a muslim woman opt to follow what required by her religion, she is seen as moving backward from the civilization of their definition. I thought the less clothing on your body more resembles the stone age?????like in our text book " zaman purba"?? like "tube" to kemban di zaman hang tuah...

i am not against trend and fashions....for me it is people choice-as long as it suitable to the occassion

I actually talked to a friend who is not local about this, he told me that it is common for them to think that those in veils are being forced and deprived from their right "of exposing themselves"..i was like my god....the so called civilised but thanks to him for being truthful...Basically whoever wants to understand (there is no point talking to those who just chose not to) , maybe there is a small group who are being forced like many other things that people are being forced to do - but many many like us, we actually choose for the veils and the burquini ( to relate back to the title:) - that is simply OUR RIGHTS!

kan ada some design yang 2 in 1...meaning after you swim...let it dry and you can go home terus. maybe this is the one yang kena band. kat bandung kan murah...katanya.
